It's All About the Benjamins, but Not As Many As You'd Think
As I said above, I can't reasonably charge what established editors do for their services.
I've used a formula to determine prices that I believe are fair for those in search of quality done quickly, but still reasonable for the amount of time I have to put in to ensure the work is done properly.
These prices will remain in effect until I decide when and by how much to adjust these values upward toward industry standard pricing.
It's a massive undertaking to write a book, but harder still is finding someone who can fix your errors without taking away your voice. If your book is dialect-heavy, I'll do my best to refrain from correcting nonstandard speech.
If I see something that seems factually inaccurate or inconsistent within the text, I'll leave a comment that we can address later.
I will keep a copy of your original submitted work, untouched, in the event I removed something you put in for a distinct reason or you're unclear why I made a specific change. If you think it sounds better or truer to your voice the way you wrote it, I'd be glad to discuss that with you.
